Our Own We feel a certain affinity towards Palomar Observatory. Not only was it the greatest scope in the world for a half a century, and still continues to do cutting edge astronomy, but it is just "up the hill" from us. And we get the best tours from Scott Kardel, our local Palomarian Hero.
